Passion
Is passion a necessity? Maybe not. Maybe we can live our lives without passion. We can go through life living each day because it’s there, not because we want to. Is that the best way?
I don’t think so. I think your life will be so much better if the following is true:
1. You care about what you do
2. You feel you’re going to make a difference
3. You help someone else be better
4. You feel good at the end of the day with a job well done
5. You know why you get up every morning
See if the above are true, then days will go quicker, you will be happier and you will live longer statistically. Yet some of you say I hate my job or I hate my boss. While that may be true, if you can find a way to justify the fact that your job is a tool to allow you to meet the five truisms you will have a better life. Then you don’t have to like your job or your boss. They are just a tool to live a better life, make the world a better place and feel good about what to do.
I love my job. But there are days, hours or minutes that seem to be drudgery. There are people sometimes I wish I did not have to deal with. So I don’t believe anyone has neither a perfect job nor a perfect life. But the imperfections are what we put up with so we can enjoy what we do have.
So for some of you: Find a purpose. Find a cause. Find something that you believe in. A community, church, battered women, the poor, a school, nature, something that you have a passion for and can get involved in and believe you can make a difference. There are millions of causes out there. And we all think differently about which causes are good or bad. But find one that you believe in, one you feel you can make a difference in and in doing so you will make a difference in the world.
This needs to become your purpose
Attitude equals success. Effort equals attitude. Results equal effort.
Let’s be happy!
If you are unhappy with where you’re at, it is up to you to change. Happy people are more about attitude than surroundings. Happy people are more about what they give than what they receive. Happy people are more about what they do than what they don’t do.
Do the things you do not enjoy about life as the price to afford to do the things you do enjoy.
